Seeking recommendations for HTML/CSS textbook

I'm considering adding Elizabeth Castro's HTML, XHTML, and CSS: Visual QuickStart Guide (6th Edition) as a recommended text for GLIS 634 (web design and management) in the Fall. I've used earlier editions of the text, and have found the explanations and examples to be quite good. Students have also given me positive feedback on the book, and I think that overall its a great book for folks getting started with HTML and CSS.

If you have any thoughts on this book, or can recommend another book, please send them through. Similarly, web sites, tutorials and references would also be appreciated. I tend to recommend w3schools, but would like a few other options.
