A return to podcasting

A return to podcasting.
I've decided to give podcasting another go. Beyond knowing that it will be a personal podcast (i.e. catering to my interests and desire for self-expression rather then trying to fill some information niche), I don't have much more to share at this point. My plan is to start by putting together a pilot episode, both to get the process set up but also get a feel for the time requirements and the potential for the final product. No deadline for the pilot to be ready, although my guess is that it will take a few weeks at least.
I expect that the structure for the podcast will be somewhat emergent. I'll have an initial framework to get things going, but over time I'll try to be careful to leave enough flexibility to allow a somewhat natural evolution to take place. My ideas on the podcast's focus and content are somewhat vague, although my intention is for the podcast to act as a catalyst for my various interests, such as the impact of technology on our lives, and the changing nature of our urban and suburban spaces. Librarianship figures in there as well, maybe focusing on preservation, digitization, and open access. I've long talked about getting into shortwave radio as a hobby, if only as a listener, so I'd like to work that into the show as well.
I plan on writing more about putting together the pilot show over the coming weeks. Input, suggestions, pointers, and questions are always welcome.
