Here are a few random thoughts that have been bouncing around my head, and that have come together at once as I've been reading through my regular weblog visits:

First, the Blogger version of the "Wassup!" commercial. I can't stop laughing whenever I watch it. When I show it to other people, I expect them to start laughing. I mean, Jack, then John.. "True. True."...

(Ok. A small break here. Something happened that really bugs me. Just as I was typing "True... True..", the Jon & Vangelis MP3 I was listening too just played the lyrics "True... They seem so true..." I'm talking at EXACTLY the same time. What's that about! Freaks me out.)

Where was I? Right. The Blogger thing... So, it's a riot! Who wouldn't laugh? After a few seconds of showing it to somebody, I'm invariably disappointed with their reaction, so I start explaining, "See, it's a lot funnier if you know there people, I mean, if you know who they are, if you've been following their lives..", which gets me to really thinking about this whole weblog thing.

Next, that radio show on weblogs. I give credit to Ev, Brad, and Rebecca for having to go through the process of explaining weblogs to a clueless host. For some reason, I was expecting a much more thoughtful discussion, where the host would let the three of them discuss weblogs, not the "Pretend I'm a monkey. Now, explain weblogs to me" that was the actual show. A public discussion between these three would have been a really interesting, and not only to current webloggers. As it was, my takeaway was "weblogs are personal pages", which is true, but there's more to it then that. Isn't there?

Also, I'm considering dropping Scripting News from my surf list. Sure, Dave can be entertaining, but I can't shake the feeling that the guy has got issues. I'm sure Dave will be crushed when he finds out. (not.)

Finally, I'll admit publicly that I enjoy listening to Shania Twain. Yeah, yeah, I know, but I really do like listening to the music.
