In case you hadn't noticed, I updated my Bookmarks page over the weekend, adding in some cool new weblogs and purging a few older ones that were no longer updating or that I found myself not reading as often. Among the new ones is John Carmack's (of iD/Doom/Quake fame). Now, this isn't really a weblog: it's a web version of his .plan file. Still, the format is the same, and the guy is an inspiration. It's also a reminder that weblogs are just the latest version of something that has existed for some time.
