I've just about had it with web-based applications, mainly Hotmail. I've run a few tests at work, and even though my bandwidth is fine, Hotmail is infuriatingly slow. Blogger has had its moments over the past few weeks as well, but I'm not sure if that is an Exodus problem or a server problem. Similarly Eboard (which powers the discussion groups on this site) has taken a turn for the worse ever since they "upgraded" their software.

The first to go is going to be Hotmail, which means I have to get off my butt, register a domain name, and get a proper POP mail account. As for Blogger and Ezboard, well, I'll wait and see. There has been less and less traffic on the discussion groups as of late, so I may just scuttle them entirely. I may also play around with a few other blogging apps, but I doubt they will be any better. Blogger is the right idea, where the only time a crappy server will hold me up is when I'm trying to update my site.
