Spring (or is it summer already?) has arrived full force here in Montreal. N. and I went for a long, lovely walk yesterday afternoon. When I got home, I had that wonderful, buzzed feeling I get from getting too much sun and fresh air. Needless to say, I slept very well.

Sunday is proving to be an equally beautiful day, although I'm not expecting to be outside much. On the agenda for the day: finish Michael Malone's Infinite Loop, cleaning up my mess of an apartment, and a game or two of Jyhand with J. and J. later this evening.

One thing I wanted to pass on. In Saturday's paper, was introduced to the Prius, Toyota's hybrid gas/electric car. It is very, very cool. The battery is automatically charged whenever the gas engine is running, so there is no need to build a massive network of charge stations or ultra-high capacity batteries to power the sucker. Switching between the two modes is done seemlessly and intelligently by the car's internal computer systems. In other words, the Prius is basically an ultra-efficient car. How efficient? Try Toronto to Montreal (~1000 km) on one tank of gas.

Kudos to Toyota for coming up with such a great design! (FYI, Honda also has a hybrid car that they will be bringing to market called the Insight.)

Another thing. The new company web site is up. Thoughts and opinions are welcome.
