Downwardslide. From Freedom to Fascism? Evaluates the US against fourteen traits found to be common among fascist states in history. While it certainly is possible to adopt a perspective that views the US as increasingly fascist, I think it would be an overstatement to portray the country as a fascist state. My concern is and has been that the Bush administration has been able to move the country in this direction without any meaningful resistance.
