Transparency in government. Robert Marleau, Canada's Information Commissioner, makes a public plea for greater transparency in government. My impression is that the Harper government is more interested in controlling information tightly so that they can avoid having to manage the difficult political situations that might result from increased transparency. It will be interesting to see how they react to this, if at all.
