Ottawa bridge replaced overnight

Ottawa bridge replaced overnight. As quick as I am to criticize the various levels of government around me, this is quite the accomplishment:
The new overpass opened yesterday at 12:56 p.m. after high-tech techniques - and about 100 workers - accomplished in 17 hours what traditionally would have been done over two years. (Emphasis mine. E.B.)
I would be interested in seeing what the cost difference was. My guess is that it would be more expensive, but given the apparent state of much of the infrastructure in North America, I think we are going to see more project of this kind on the coming years.
