Tomorrow is my last day of work at McGill, and I'm scheduled to spend most of it hunting down CSS bugs in IE. Expect more photo blog posts throughout the day.

My next two weeks look roughly like this: packing until the 18th, getting married on the 19th, moving to Ottawa on the 20th, starting my new job at Carleton on the 21st. All the big pieces have fallen into place, though. We've subletted this apartment, found a new one in Ottawa, found and scheduled movers, who have also started dropping off the oxes we need to pack. Nathalie's parents are handling most of the wedding details, which has been a godsend.

There are a lot of things I want to write about, but I've been finding it hard to sit down and write them out. Maybe next week, maybe after we move, once I'm through these turbulent times. And they are turbulent. Those of you who know me know that I'm not a get-up-and-move-to-a-new-city kind of guy. I like to stay put, held in place by the familiar, by what is known, safe. But this move is the right thing to do, for us and for me.

I knew when we made this decision that it would be hard. So I guess I shouldn't be surprised that it has turned out to be so... well, hard.

But I think we're over the hardest parts. We've built up enough momentum at this point to carry us through. Things are starting to happen on their own, without us needing to push so hard. Which is a good thing.

Someone asked me today if I was excited about the move. No, not really. I'm too worried and tired to be excited. But when it comes to getting married, yessir, I'm excited!
